Hobie Cat has introduced their newest fishing kayak, the Pro Angler 12.
At 12 foot long, 3 feet wide and 120lbs this is Hobie’s attempt at the ultimate fishing kayak. With features ranging from the all new MirageDrive pedal propulsion system to the Vantage Seating all the way to an optional leaning post for stand up fishing this kayak was designed with one thing in mind. Fishing!
Mirage Drive
The pedal driven propulsion system uses two pedals pushed alternately to move under water flippers. This system is both quite and efficient allowing for more time and concentration on fishing. The one draw back to the Mirage Drive is it is not effective in very shallow water.
Vantage Seating
The Pro Angler 12 comes with a top of the line kayak seat. The seat allows the angler a higher seating position all while being much more comfortable than many other standard kayak seats. The seat will fold up and move out of the way for stand up fishing and can be removed and used as a seat on the beach or a dock.
Storage
The Pro Angler 12 has plenty of storage. With compartments for lure boxes, rod storage and dry storage this kayak has plenty of space for all that an angler would need.
